Lorlee Engler
Lorlee Engler is a lifelong Lebanon resident whose deep roots and dedication have made her a cornerstone of the community. Her deep understanding of Lebanon’s history and Lorlee’s first-hand experiences growing up in the community provide her with a unique perspective on the needs of Lebanon students.
From her early days swimming in the Lebanon Community Pool as a child to her current role as Executive Director of the Lebanon Aquatic District, her commitment to the well-being and enrichment of Lebanon’s residents is evident. Lorlee’s journey with the community pool began when she joined the Lebanon Swim Team in third grade. Coincidentally, now all third grade Lebanon students experience the pool as well, learning life-saving skills essential for their safety and staying connected to a healthy lifestyle.
Her passion for aquatics and community service led her to oversee the very facility that played a significant role in her upbringing. Under her leadership, the pool has continued to serve as a vital resource for Lebanon’s youth through physical education, swim lessons, community events, and so much more. She has also coached the swim team at LHS, serving as the assistant coach from 2006 to 2018 and the head coach from 2020 to 2024.
Lorlee’s candidacy for the Zone 2 seat on the Lebanon Community School District Board of Directors is a natural extension of her lifelong commitment to the community. As a graduate of Lebanon High School, she certainly wasn’t the first in her family to walk the halls with her grandmother graduating from LUHS in the ‘20s; her father in 1954; Lorlee in 1987; and all five of her children also left their mark at the high school (two graduating as valedictorians).
With a legacy rooted in service and a vision for a thriving Lebanon, Lorlee Engler continues to be a dedicated advocate for the youth of Lebanon, and the community she has always called home.
Jackie Eberhart
Jackie Eberhart is a seasoned education professional with nearly three decades of experience in public education. Throughout her career, she has served students from kindergarten through age 21 as a licensed Speech Language Pathologist.
While she recently retired from neighboring Greater Albany Public Schools, Jackie has certainly not retired from her community service work. Her community involvement includes active participation in her faith community, facilitating connections for the FACT team (Family and Community Together) with other women and their churches. She also volunteers weekly at the Clothes Closet, providing free clothing for local school-aged children, and shops for Lebanon’s Hygiene Closet, which benefits the district’s Welcome Center.
With grandchildren in the Lebanon Community School District, Jackie enjoys regularly volunteering in her grandchildren’s classrooms, further demonstrating her commitment to the future of students in our community.
She spent 11 years providing direct therapy before transitioning to a Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) role. In this capacity, she supported teachers, administrators, and counselors, assisting students and their families in navigating school-related challenges. Her responsibilities also included acting as a liaison between schools and external agencies, notably serving on the Linn County Student Threat Assessment Team (STAT) for many years. Furthermore, she contributed to ensuring procedural compliance for special education by reviewing documents for the State of Oregon Department of Education Systems Performance Review and Improvement and developing professional development programs for educators.
Through her extensive career, ongoing volunteer work, and active involvement in local schools, Jackie understands firsthand what it’s like to be in today’s classrooms and she remains deeply committed to supporting students, families, and educators in the Lebanon community.
